Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) today announced the opening of the Guangzhou Hampton Hotel, the first Hampton Hotel in China. Hilton Hotels and Resorts today announced the completion of a 223-room, $1.5 billion Hampton China Hotel in Guangdong Province, China, as part of its global expansion plans. Wang Jian, CEO of Hilton and President of Hilton China, said the 223,000 square foot GuangDong Hotel is the latest step in an agreement with Plateno Group that will see 400 Hampton hotels across China over the next eight years.
